Sustainable Development Goals: What you need to know and what your institution needs to do
The SDGs are a collection of 17 interlinked “global goals” designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. They were established in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and adopted by all 193 member states and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030. The SDGs are comprehensive and essentially a roadmap for countries and governments, for organizations and industry, for communities and individuals, and importantly for educational institutions and districts, to assume responsibility for a more prosperous, safer, and more sustainable future for all. This webinar requires no previous knowledge of SDGs. It will be a conversation between the global and macro mapping and implementation of the SDGs and the journey of engagement of one local university’s international office.
